Centre for Foreign Languages (CJO)

The Centre for Foreign Languages conducts didactic activities for students and PhD students studying at Rzeszow University of Technology. The language courses are conducted on full-time and part-time, first, second and third degree studies in English, German, Russian and French as well as Polish as a foreign language. The learning process ends with an exam on a level not lower than B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The curricula include general language courses and specialist language courses in technology and business. The teaching process is supported by the use of modern technologies: multimedia boards, projectors, audio systems and the so-called blended learning which consists in combining group work under the guidance of a teacher with work performed remotely on an electronic platform.

Within the CJO there is the Academic School of Foreign Languages, which offers commercial courses for students wishing to improve their general or specialist language skills, thus helping them to gain a competitive edge in the labour market.

As a consequence of the increasing number of foreign students studying at the university, classes are organised to provide language education and to prepare foreigners for studies in Polish and to engage them in the culture of our country and city by participating in numerous cultural and educational events.
